LiveTV cannot be seeked.

RecordedTV can only seek Forward.

Reported from AustralianMCE Arkay http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/community/other-media-center-options-non-vista-mce/31804-mediastream-v0-89-xbmc-skin-released.html

Arkay's post:

I've got it running from my remote frontend. It works well but is lacking in features at the moment.

I can't ff/rew liveTV. With recordings it seems to only allow ff and if you go too fast it just stops and you have to quit out and go back into the recording.

I had the issue where all my tuners were numbered high like 21,22,23 etc and I couldn't see anything in LiveTV. I then found out that the cmyth api only enumerates the first 17 tuners. So I had to go and renumber all my tuners back to 1,2,3 etc. After that it's worked with no issues. Adding the myth:// source worked fine from the remote machine but from memory you have to make some changes to the myth backend database to allow remote connections.

Let me know if you need to know what that is and I'll see if I can dig up the instructions.

Cheers,

Arkay.

In which case it would be fixed. This is still an issue until that time.
