Hi there,

I have been using XBMC on my Xbox since before version 1.0 and I just upgraded from a 25/08/2008 SVN snapshot to Babylon. Since then the special characters (like '???()' etc) present in XBMS shares are displayed correctly in the GUI, but I can no longer browse these folders.

I get the following error in the logs :

18:19:11 M: 16457728 ERROR: DIRECTORY::CDirectory::GetDirectory - Error getting xbms://192.168.0.6:1400/Video/S?rie/

Configuration details :

  • Server : Debian SID with ccxstream 1.0.15 (UTF-8)
  • Client : Xbox 1.2 with XBMC Babylon 9.04

I will try to have a look at the source myself, but let me know if I can give you more information to help troubleshooting the issue.

Thanks in advance LeTic

Can anyone confirm this issue since the original author is not the own creating this ticket...

there is a patch in the original ticket @xbmc.org but I guess this protocol isn't developed anymore (neither xbmc.org or xbmc4xbox.org).

So ticket can be closed if nothing happens...
