Bug #324
openUPnP server not showing up
0%
Description
Xbmc4Xbox 3.5-Dev-r32955 on an Xbox connected to a wireless bridge.
Other clients on the bridge can see my UPnP server (on the main router) just fine. Does not show up in Xbmc4Xbox.
minidlna 1.1.4-1 as the server.

Include a link to the debug log in the bug report please.
Also please test connecting the xbox directly with the router to make sure it is not a networking config (and it will help diagnose whether it is a protocol issue, or a networking / tcpip issue). The other clients may use a different method of discovery than xbmc4xbox also.

Debug log. A bit hard to test directly to the main router atm. Will see if I can get it in there.
The other client that work are XBMC 13.2. So if something changed in the UPnP discovery there that might be it.

our upnp code is different I believe. plus the networking stacks underneath are also different.

I installed minidlna to a fileserver. When browsing to "add source", and choosing "browse" then "UPnP devices" the first time it doesn't show up, but pressing back, and going back into "UPnP devices" causes it to show up. Also just adding upnp:// as a source then going to the source it starts off blank, and then after a second or two it shows up.
Can you confirm it doesn't show either using either of these methods ? if not are the networking settings the same as other machines ? can you correctly ping the xbox from the upnp server etc ?

Aha the going in, backing up, and going in again worked. Thanks for the help.

the "add source" window doesn't update the contents - it's a minor annoyance - I'll leave this open in case I have a chance to sort it, but just adding the upnp:// source will make a source that work (and updates as upnp sources are discovered)
