Initially posted here by mrplow, 27/10/09. Original ticket has a large amount of followup posts.

Dvdplayer playback is choppy with and without EDL enabled. Commercial skips are broken. Dvdplayer seemed to work fine in r23046 as long as EDL was disabled.
