you need to post a debug log.
i cant do that as im traveling at the moment and i only have my xbox with no way to ftp it to a pc, i can send you an mp4 that it does it on? but it is copyrighted, nothing else i can do sorry, i think the priority of this should be higher than normal as it has existed for years, and hasn´t been addressed, and affects lots of videos

you an ftp me example files to ftp://aero.exotica.org.uk/incoming (put it in a zip called fil_evans.zip).
it certainly hasn't been on the bugtracker for years or not that I know of. Once I have a an example file and a log I can set the priority accordingly. As this project is done in my spare time, I like to set my own priorities.

all the bugs from the old xbmc4xbox bugtracker were copied here - although you may have made it on the xbmc bugtracker. Will look into this when I get a free moment. thanks.

That video is h264 High 10 (Hi10P) which is not supported on xbmc4xbox currently. You should turn that option off if encoding for playback on xbmc4xbox. Plenty of other devices also struggle with it:

thanks is there a way to do that without reencoding the video? as i didnt tick anything like that option when i did the encoding and i have 100s of videos like that, so is going to be a lot of work reencoding everything, so not sure why it has enabled that just on some videos, as i have other videos encoded on ripbot that play ok, so its weird
do you know if they plan to support that on xbmc4xbox? as gomplayer, using ffdshow plays them ok
thanks for your time and help

oh ive just noticed new released XBMC 12.0 'Frodo' supports it, will that be ported to xbox mate, thanks
Updated by buzz almost 11 years ago
There are no plans no. This part of xbmc is quite different from xbmc4xbox so it can't be easily backported. Re-encoding may be your only option.

This video actually should play. I have got it playing when disabling some ffmpeg cpu flags so I think there is a bug in an ffmpeg MMX/MMXEXT optimisation. I will see what I can do.
