It does look as though we would need a newer ffmpeg - assuming that codec is supported. Which may mean API changes. Not impossible but not sure it's worth it but I have been meaning to revisit the code and so some basic updates where we can.

Probably easiest to transcode for this user. But I'll take a look anyway.
