Description

Initially posted here by CordtChgo, 26/02/10.

Issue reported with rev 28111 and duplicated by myself with rev 28137 and 28164.

When scanning recursively against SMB video shares containing separate NFOs for each video, videos are not listing by Title from the database.

The videos do appear by category such as Genres Drama.

If I browse to the root of one of these shares and manually select Movie Information for a single video folder, the video is imported properly (see "Movies by Title" screenshot below). The issue only occurs when selecting "Scan for new content" while highlighting a share containing multiple video folders (see "Movies by Genre" screenshot below).

Once a recursive scan had been done, videos added to the library individually using the "Movie Information" selection only appear under Genres.

Also, videos cannot be removed from the library once a recursive scan has been completed.

Issue is duplicated separately with Project Mayhem, PM3.HD and Confluence (XBOX port) skins.

Issue occurs with and without NFO files.

I tested a PC DirectX build of rev 28137 and did not find the issue.

Platform: XBOX v1.2/1.3?

Revision: 28164 - Reported by others as early as 28111. Issue introduced after revision 27937 as this revision works fine.

Skin: Project Mayhem, PM3.HD and Confluence

Scrapper: IMDB.com

Build Source: http://sshcs.com/xbmc/

Steps to reproduce: (No existing Database or Thumbnail folders)

1. Navigate to Videos.

2. Set content for video source to IMDB.com with Scan Recurvisely.

3. Open the video source, highlight a video folder containing video and video.NFO and select "Movie Information".

4. Close Movie Information and enable Library Mode.

5. View by Title and see the single video.

6. Disable library mode and highlight the video source folder.

7. Select "Scan for new content".

8. After scan completes, re-enable library mode.

9. View movies by Title and see only the single video you scanned previously.

10. Navigate back to Movies Genres and select a Genre. Note that the multiple videos previously scanned using "Scan for new content" appear in addition to the original single video.

11. Select a video and remove it from the library.

12. Reboot XBOX.

13. Navigate back to the Genre containing the video you removed and note that it is still there.

Followup post by Fire69:

This Library-thing is getting weirder by the minute...

I just copied my entire XBMC-folder from xbox1 to xbox2 in the bedroom. Changed my softmod so it boots to this new folder, so the entire install is exactly the same as my livingroom-box. Guess what? It shows my Library perfectly. Every show and movie is in the list!

So I copied my video34.db back from xbox2 to xbox1 => no go, still missing stuff.

How on earth is that possible!?

Build is 28097 btw.
